SIHRA raises several concerns to the Andhra Pradesh government authorities.




The SIHRA team, led by Mr. Bala Krishna Reddy and Mr. RV Swamy, met with the following bureaucrats of Andhra Pradesh:
– Shri Mukesh Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary, Revenue and Excise
– Shri Nishant Kumar, IAS, Director, Excise and Prohibition
– Smt. Amrapali Kata, IAS, MD, APTDC
– Shri Ajay Jain, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, Youth Advancement, Tourism, and Culture
During the discussion, the team raised several concerns, including the impact of the cabinet decision to reduce the bar by 25 lakhs on Andhra Pradesh hoteliers.
– They requested the issuance of a Go (Government Order) to implement the decision. It was assured that the Go would be issued within two days.
– They also requested an extension of bar timings up to 4:00 a.m. and the extension of the applicability of liquor licenses to the entire hotel premises.
– The team represented the implementation of Go 25 and requested an extension of timings up to midnight for all eateries and restaurants.
– They also proposed a shack policy and suggested improvements to it.
All the officers responded positively and assured the team that they would issue the necessary directions to the District authorities and the police department.
