Today, I personally met Smt. Innocent Divya, IAS, Commissioner of Tourism, and submitted our representation regarding the FL-3 licence renewal issue. We requested her intervention and proposed the following solutions:
        1.     Renewal of FL-3 licences based on a self-declaration supported by an affidavit from the hotel, or
        2.      Issuance of a general/individual certification by the Tourism Department based on the official classification list received from the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India.

We also enclosed the internal letter of the Excise Department and the official list of 55 classified hotels obtained from the Regional Director.

Madam patiently heard our submissions and agreed to immediately issue an official letter to the Commissioner of Excise stating that the attached list covers the classified hotels and that all remaining hotels may be deemed as non classified. We have requested a copy of this letter, after which members may approach the Excise Department with the same.
